The fire originated between the built up ceilings and the
second floor in the center section of the building which has
been renovated numerous times in the past. Firefighters
entering the second floor knocked down what they thought was
to have been the source in the ceiling. Minutes later
fire broke through the roof as a result of the balloon
construction of the 1900's era building and took approximately
1 hour to bring under control.
Trumansburg was assisted at the scene by Mutual Aid

and recently released the results of their findings.
